  • Proxy visible on render layers

Just noticed that if you use a render layer it seems that any proxy's in the scene appear in the viewport even though they are not on the render layer
In the image below I only have glass added to layer but you can see the proxys..

Hm, no issues here. Could you simplify the scene and attach it (or send) so we can take a look?

Thanks Hermit, I have sent file and screen shot via link.
I sent a scene which has a cosmos proxy and a cube. Only the cube is on a render layer but yet you can see the proxy as well.
      Cheers

Thanks for the provided scene. It seems this used to be an issue (it affected the new proxy), but it is now fixed. Tested with v5.20.02 from Apr 13 2022 and it works as expected. Could you update and try again?

Working fine with that version as well. Try resetting the Maya preferences and see if the issue persists.

So I have used default prefs and still the same issue. Could it be a GPU thing? RTX 3060 with latest drivers

Works fine on GPU on my end as well. What Viewport 2.0 rendering engine have you set?

                      I meant the Viewport Engine in the Windows > Settings/Preferences > Settings > Display > Viewport 2.0.

ah sorry, it's set to DirectX 11
I have tried them all after restart but no change in renderlayers.

It seems to be a Maya 2023.2 thing. We've logged it (internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-11742) for dev investigation.
