  • Flickring in VRaySSS

    Hello,

    https://vimeo.com/781833284

i a getting this nasty, square, splotches on a close up character.
it occurs with and without camera Depth of Field.

I can avoid it by turning of the single scatter for the sss or using a different shader (AI or Mtl with translucency SSS).
The samples and GI settings are pretty decent. Perhaps I should even go higher on this shot.

Hopefully there is a sample setting that I am missing, so I can continue using this shader for that production

    Thnx
    Martin

Can't access the video. Otherwise, it could be some leftover adaptive dome light artifacts. Could you simplify the scene and send (or attach) it here so we can confirm?

I had some adaptive dome lights in the scene - coming with each of the 3 characrter references - and now deleted those in the origninal scene.
still the flickering is there. do you think there are some hidden leftovers by that dome lights?

Thanks for the provided scene. The issue is caused by the adaptive lights(Render settings> Overrides > Lighting > Light evaluation) and RTX specifically. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VGPU-6037) for developer investigation. For now, switch the light evaluation mode to Full Evaluation until we resolve the issue.
