  • Input Path for VrayVolumeGrid disappears

Running Vray 5.0 in Maya 2020 at work and we often have an issue with the Preview and Render Path under Input of VrayVolumeGrids simply disappearing after loading a new vdb cache. The cached frames and full path below remain, but the entire input line is just gone. Has anyone else run into this? We can't update Vray right now due to shows in mid-production, so hoping to find a workaround other than having to restart maya every time this occurs. Thanks.

Which particular V-Ray version build do you have installed? I tested with v5.20.02 from Apr 27 2022 and it seems to work as expected.

Running 5.00.22 since we cannot update mid-production. It seems to happen when you have more than one volume grid in the scene, but occurance is intermittent. Our VDB caches on using UNC network paths. Host software is Maya 2020 running under Win10 Enterprise. Thanks.

We cannot seem to consistently reproduce the issue. It seems very sporadic as it happened only once. If it occurs again, could you please describe the steps?
