  • Dispersion issue

    Hi all

I’m having a few issues when switching on the dispersion.

The pipe on the left is polycarbonate from the library.

The middle pipe has practically the same settings as the polycarbonate with the addition of some depth on the translucency - to achieve a plastic look with some white areas depending on thickness (Please see attached).

The right pipe is identical to the middle pipe but with Dispersion switched on set to 50.
For some reason adding the Dispersion floods the whole pipe with an almost opaque look..

    Cheers

    Steve

Sorry, I put this in the wrong forum. Should just be in the Maya section, not nightlies.

Would you mind moving this to Maya issues please?

There definitely is something wrong going on. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-13337) for developer investigation. It seems to work fine in GPU, though.

          Cool, thanks for moving.

We're in a Mac Studio so no GPU rendering for us.
