  • Vray maya camera flip

Hi all, I'm working in Maya Vray and have been asked to flip the camera. Is there anyone that knows how to do this? I have tried the obvious group and -1 scale way put that doesn't seem to work. Is there a Vray way of doing it?

    Thank you in advance.

    Flip the scene instead.

What you need to do is parent a locator to your camera, if the camera is moving it will inherit its animation, then group that (including your camera) and flip that group with -1, with the parented locator you can then duplicated your original camera (without animation) and parent it to the flipped locator outside the flipped group. Then the camera will inherit the flipped movement and will render as expexted.

Thanks for getting back to me guys. Those approaches didn't work, the camera flips, but what's in the view doesn't for some reason. It's car shot, so flipping the scene would flip the interior the wrong way around along with all the lettering on badges etc. Luckily they have a script where I work and that has fixed the issue, I don't know how to fix it otherwise.
