PLE for Maya and Scatter Problems

Hello...

Trying to learn the scatter feature. Downloaded some trees. Prepped a scene. Took about 30 mins. Then, I find that the scatter icon's NOT in my V-Ray shelf. I cannot find it in any of the menus either.

Anyone know what's going on?

Running the PLE version for Maya 2023.

Hi, thanks for posting. Did you managed to fix your issue? Have you tried to re-install your V-Ray?

Edit: the PLE version is not using the latest official V-Ray version. The development team will join this thread shortly.

Hi there,

As of writing this, the last PLE version covers what's available for V-Ray 6 for Maya and Chaos Scatter is available with V-Ray 6 for Maya Update 1. Because of that, unfortunately you won't find Chaos Scatter with you current version. I apologize for the confusion and the caused inconvenience.
We will soon release a new update for V-Ray for Maya PLE which will feature Chaos Scatter alongside the other improvements you can find for Update 1

Thanks folks. I'll keep an eye out for the update. (I wanted to work on a tutorial going over that feature, and that's largely why I have the PLE version, for, well, personal learning )
