  • Beauty Composites and Caustics

The attached scene does not match Beauty Composite and Beauty.
If I disable caustics they match.
Of course caustics exist in Beauty Composite.

Is this a V-Ray rendering issue? Or is it a problem with RenderElements (composite)?

    Confirmed in Maya 2024 + V-Ray 6, update 1.1 version 6.10.01
    Rendering is V-Ray CPU.

    plus,

Like the Maya version of V-Ray, please automatically create a Back to Beauty composite layer setup in VFB when using the "Back To Beauty" preset like the 3ds Max version.

Thanks for the report. We already have the issue logged (internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-10569). The problem is that the reflections of the caustics are not included in either VRayReflection or VRayCaustics, only in the RGB. I'll ping the project manager to prioritize the issue.

I presume this is a host platform thing. I'll ask around.
