Deep exr with overscan is offset from beauty

Hi,

With overscan enabled, deep exrs rendered from maya appear to be offset in X by the amount of overscan (vray_deep_offset image), and don't line up with the corresponding beauty rbga. If I disable overscan, the deep image lines up (vray_deep_no_offset image). I've tried different combinations/types of overscan with the same result. Anyone come across this?

I've attached a simple example file that renders the attached images.

Maya 2023.3 on Windows
V-Ray 6 for Maya, update 1

I've reported this issue, are you using nuke to load them? I believe its a nuke issue rather then vray issue. They should be offset back X -300 Pixels (if its HD). Or you have to render with old school overscan where you use camera scale, then it works fine.

Morbid Angel I don't believe it's a Nuke issue, as a deep rendered with Arnold does not have the same problem.

It's funny because I was repeating what Chaos told me at the time, this was some years ago though. Hope it gets fixed.

I am getting something very similar - Vray 6 in Maya 2025. Batch render from same scene, not with overscan but with limited data window. Beauty and Deep are misaligned by a lot: Bit of further investigation and it seems that Nuke's DeepRead is giving hte error. Reading same file into a normal Read and it aligns. However Overscan disabled in Vray the issue goes away. So appears to be a miscommunication between the 2 apps?

Thanks for the report. I can confirm it also happens with the EXR's data window. I've updated the log and informed the project owner about it so as to increase its priority.

Thanks Aleksandar! I can confirm that disabling overscan in the render settings seems to fix the issue even with data window enabled.
