  • Vray 6.1 Clouds not showing on vrscene file render by console

Hi, inside Maya everything works perfect.
If we export the scene to a vrscene file and try to render through vray console, clouds disappear and are no longer there.
    We are the only ones?
    Thank you.

Works fine on a simple scene. Could you send (or attach) the scene in question so we can troubleshoot?

Note that V-Ray Standalone is separate from V-Ray for Maya. What V-Ray Standalone version do you have installed? Works fine with the latest official version. Also, do the clouds disappear when you render through the vray.exe (the V-Ray for Maya "STD") here: "C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\Maya 2023 for x64\maya_vray\bin\vray.exe"?

          Ok, now it works.
We just though Standalone was a part of vray installation.
Sorry, but has no sense to install Vray 6.1 and keep working with Standalone 5.1.
In fact a clean install of vray should be to install Standalone version aswell.
          Thank you.

Standalone is installed along V-Ray for any host application, however, one can get a license for V-Ray Standalone separately (no host app), hence the confusion.
