VrayLayeredTex layer animation issue

Hello,

I am having issue with animating layers of a vraylayered texture. I thought maybe it was an issue with having 8 layers, but even in a simple test with one layer turning on I cannot get it to batch render. The color change does work in IPR if I step through the frames. I have tried setting keys on Mask and Opacity, and even for both at the same time.

Im in mayay 2024.2 Vray (v6.10.02, revision 32364 from Nov 30 2023)

Ive attached my simple test scene with a single color change and a sphere primitive.

Ah, bummer. I guess I'll swap renderers for this project, since its on a short time frame. Thanks

Im not 100% it'll work...but when I run into these bugs in other Vray areas (like keyframing attributes on 2Dramp textures) I plug in a floatConstant node into the thing I want to animate and animate the float value instead. Often that seems to work in certain situations and Vray will render the animation as expected. I havnt tested it on layeredTex though.

Thank you! This got it working again for me! I was going through my old archive of projects and evidently the last time I was animating a layered tex was back in vray3, crazy.

Anyways, I was able to get it to work with the keyframes on the floatConstant, also it works with a colorConstant on the mask channel.

Really appreciate the tip, that saved me the effort of swapping things over to Arnold.
