Crashing with Vray Scatter

Looks like Vray Scatter is really unstable here.
I have to admit im working with a running ipr on GPU.

Hi, thanks for posting.
Could you explain your setup in a bit more details? You are using V-Ray GPU for Maya and adjusting your scatter in IPR?

Looks like V-Ray Scatter is really unstable here.

What is your issue? Crash, freeze or something else?
Is this happening in every scene even a new simple scene? What are your V-Ray and Maya versions?

Last time i crashed i created a new scatter node while running the ipr.

Maya 2024.2
V-Ray 6 for Maya, update 2 (v6.20.10, revision 32444 from Jan 30 2024)


Scene isnt that heavy.

GPU ram is still free.

Hi I tested V-Ray v6.20.10, revision 32447 from Feb 1 2024 in a new scene. Creating Scatter nodes in IPR and changing settings did not reproduce a crash.
Try a newer build or the official release build and if you continue getting the crash then it may be something in the scene. The nightly versions are not guaranteed to work as stable as official release builds.
It may also be something related to the GPU like the driver for instance.
