  • Unstable scene - Streaking geo

Hi, at some point a scene becomes very unstable at render time. The geo kind of explodes.
    • I open the scene.
    • Render a frame, its fine.
    • Next time I render, the scene explodes in streaks that looks like motion blur on very fast object.
    • The only way to render it again, is to restart Maya, only then to repeat the process. This make making lighting adjustments near impossible.

Any ideas what's happening? or how to fix it with out restarting Maya.

    I have tried to
    • Change cameras
    • Import all the objects
    • Clear caches
    Windows 11
    Maya 2023.2
    V-Ray 6 for Maya, update 1 (v6.10.00 from May 15 2023)

    Thanks!

Hi, thanks for posting. Do you have this issue in other scenes as well? COuld you please update to the latest V-Ray version and try again?
If this does not work could you send us the scene for review?

does this happen on every frame of the animation? sometimes objects/rigs can snap back to the origin before the first frame or after the last frame depending on how they were rigged/animated. maybe this is what happens? the result is usually a giant blur like that. But looks like you have motion blur turned off.

what sort of geo is this? imported alembics? or just native Maya geo?

This issue was fixed. Haven't experienced it in the latest update.
