  • Velocity RE stays completely grey (no rgb values)

    Hi,

I don´t remember having any issues with the vewlocity pass. But haven´t used it in a while. Now I wanted to apply motion vector pass to my render and the velocity pass stays grey.
Settings are default on the pass. Maya 2022 Vray version V-Ray 5 for Maya, update 2.1

tried physical camera, motion blur and camera motion blur in render settings Override. No values in the pass.
I attached my test scene to this thread. I feel dumb...Maybe i forgot a setting somewhere or i messed up somewhere else in the vray settings
But also with a fresh maya scene i dont get any usable results

Tested with the latest stable V-Ray 5 build. Try it out and see if that makes any difference.

hmmmm I think IPR is not showing the motion blur but final render does :/ I read somewhere in an older thread that IPR motion blur was unstable and therefor not implemented. Tested with latest build and it behaves exactly like that. I will revert to my previous build. Thanks for your help again

Yes, motion blur is disabled in IPR for stability reasons.
