Hi. I'm trying to test a workflow between Houdini and Maya for rendering geometry with grooms. I wanted to use the latest Maya2025.3 which uses mayaUSD0.30, but seems that is not compatible with Vray. So I downgraded to Maya 2025.1 which has mayaUSD0.28 which should be compatible with Vray 6 update 2.2 (v6.20.02). But I get this error when trying to render :
// Error: V-Ray: MayaUSD is version 0.28.0, which is unsupported. MayaUSD proxy nodes will not be rendered.
Think I saw a similar post at the end of last year where someone had pretty much the same issue but related to bifrostUSD. What they did was use maya 2025.2 and downgraded the original mayaUSD0.29 that comes with that version of Maya to mayaUSD 0.28. Not sure whether this would fix my problem or why I would need to use maya 2025.2 and change up the USD version instead of using 2025.1 which uses 0.28 from the getgo. It should work with Vray as is according to the available documentation.
Any help or input would be much appreciated, thanks
