  • Cosmos assets dont work with viewport isolate objects enabled

    Hi, Im using Maya 2024.3 and V-Ray 6 for Maya, update 2.2 (v6.20.24 from Nov 27 2024)

I find that trying to use viewport isolate means I can isolate the geometry I want, but I also get cosmos proxies there too. Ive attached an example where I have selected an object and clicked viewport isolate, but the cosmos assets are still visible.

Cosmo proxies also don't work also if you put them on a display layer, it's really annoying when you have lots of vegetation.Vray 5 Maya 23

You are using Maya's Show > Isolate Select > Load selected objects, right? It works as expected on my end. Make sure that "View selected" is active. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the "Auto-load selected objects" checkbox, which I'm currently investigating.

It does work in IPR/Production but it seems VRayProxies stay in the viewport (logged it as internal bug-tracker id: VMAYA-13361).

So weird...youre right, it seems it is now working fine...though I did test in a fresh scene yesterday, I now cant replicate. Typical...
