  • Distributed render pipeline consultants?

Does anyone know of any consultants in the Chicago or Peoria, Illinois areas that could set up a procedure and/or workflow for our distributed rendering? While I'm able to install and use Maya/V-ray on a single workstation, I haven't been successful with the DR feature. I'm not familiar with using the Linux command line and our IT department is more geared for general network administration and web hosting than render pipelines.

You can email us to vray@chaosgroup.com and our support guys will walk you through the basic steps of setting this up.

    Best regards,

Hi MULTIAD, do give the chaos support a try, they are second to none in helping users to solve their problems. It is not one of those software houses where they say they support, they really get in there and help you learn how to fix it. Wich is the best sort of support I think. Give a man a fish...sorta thing.

Thanks for your replies. I got a hold of Zori yesterday and he has been working with us. I may try using Windows 64 on our blade servers instead of SUSE as I'm not too familiar with linux command line procedures. This is a major hangup for me.

although its great that support is awesome, it would be a great Idea to document Maya workflows better online, right now i feel like maya in way behind on documentation and tutorials.
