  • RGB to Luminance and +/- average Node work not propery

    Hi
    These node work fine but when I use these node in shading network for dispalcement add.
    This not work like software and mentalray render result.
    It looks like rerange result in 0-1 or less. vray dosen't understand use like this way.
    I tried that multiply value 2 or 5 more it didn't work.
    But I change node to Maya's layered texture node for +/- average Node and Alpha is luminace check on It works.
    I read dll source and I figured out that because layerdtex calculate color with alpha.

    I tried several way to Maya shading node work with VRay but sometime didn't work
    Because vray dll(plugin when vray in render) are not has needed information(eg. outalpha etc...).
    If vray full support maya node as they are in software renderer that vray will be more powerfull renderer and can use easily.
    Maya User like shading network combination.(some time they made terrible network )

      The plus/minus average node had a bug when used for displacement. This bug was present in the official August 2009 release build. It has been fixed since then.

      For the other shader network troubles, please provide an example.
