  • IrradCache failing to load on slave, distributed rendering.

I've only seen this happen last night, it has/was rendered interactively properly in general. I noticed the problem when reviewing my frames this morning, where some buckets were 'dark' which immediatley suggested to me that my slave likely wasn't reading the irradcache properly. As far as I can tell, my main workstation continued to read and render the buckets correctly. Looking at the slave log, I noticed some odd file names during load including a bunch of extended ascii characters preceeding the framenumber. The attached image shows the log with the odd names. The actual filename of the cache is:
    80_[framenumber].vrmap

It was rendering properply for the first 20 or so frames last night, then that started happening. The cache appears to be fine and I suspect that once I restart the slave, it'll start rendering properly.

Just a headsup in case someone else sees this.

Which build of V-Ray is this? I think this is fixed for the latest builds.

    Best regards,

ahh excellent - this was reported based on the first version released, so probably nothing to be worried about then. I'll let you know if the newer builds resolve this issue.

      thanks!
