    Hello,

    we get quadratic blotches each time we render specific scene with DR - as you can see here:

    First we had thought that some textures were missing on the slave nodes. But that is not the case.

    Using brute force and light cache. Master has 8 cores, slaves have 16 cores. LC is not prerendered.

    Any ideas why this is happening?

    Hm, seems that when we prerender the LC, the blotches goes away. We do some more tests.

        Looked for that too: No warnings. Just that Subpixel mapping is on...

            I'll try to send you a scene in th enext hour. Seems that this behavior is not scene specific - as another scene behaves the same way. Can it be that this is a error in the NBs? We use the one from 03-02-2010.

                    because i had once a similar problem with a dome light with a HDR mapped.... so it's not that

                      Now we have this problem with all four production scenes we are working on. When we render straight away with DR, we get those quadratic artifacts. When we prerender the LC and read it from file, the image looks fine. This "behavior" is new, as we didn't had this problem with earlier versions.

                          The problem should be fixed with the "2010-03-19" build. The problem occurred because of some floating point precision differences between the V-Ray renderer inside Maya and the standalone one ( since the standalone uses an intermediate vrscene file). Please test this on your scenes if you can, since I may have missed something. The scene you sent me works fine though.
