velocity element

Hi,

We're having a little bit of trouble interpreting the velocity render element correctly in Nuke. I couldn't find info on what exactly it is writing and what the parameters do, please excuse if I've overlooked a thread about this. Also, it seems that the results are different in Max. Any light on what the rendered values actually represent would be greatly appreciated.

When using the default min/max of 0/1 and turning clamp off then the values represent movement of the pixel in pixel/frame
