  • No vfb on linux [standalone]

Using opensuse 11.2, the vfb window doesn't display.

Yep, known problem, you have to make a script that exports and then opens buffer on vray command..

Think somebody posted one on the forum...

Thanks Oliver, I can't seem to find that, any chance you could post it, or do you have an idea what the shell script does?

I should also mention that otherwise rendering works fine. And verbose output does say "Initializing built-in VFB" .

Well, just a mel script that turns "translator on" and exports vrscene

then use the vray.exe command to start it..

          Just use sys command.

          Wish i could post it

for linux, also the render region is not connected either..

Also curious Vlado, if you can give me the commands to "change the lut"
              vray -srgbon 1 "lut"??
And type of lut, how i can add a lut to the buffer, with a command, or script in maya.

              O.

It is working with the 1.5 release, but alot has changed since then
I'll try to narrow down when it might have broken

You can specify the LUT file itself with the environment variable VRAY_VFB_LUT_FILE; the command-line option for turning this on is coming next week.

                          Best regards,

The problem is related to the 2011 builds, no issues if I stick with 2010
