    with the solution to have "vray properies" with Object ID on a grp node,

    and Object IDs per object ...
    (and grps)

    Nope; the whole object ID system is designed to work with a single ID per object, so it will take a while before we implement this.

    Something else that we can implement relatively faster is the ability to apply a VRayExtraTex render element only on some objects in the scene (which you can specify e.g. through the relationship editor).

        You can already use a shading switch to have one extra tex render element with different textures for different objects in the scene.

          Was hoping not to do that,
          but i'll look into it.

          If Object ID on groups and on per Object Shapes (or transforms)
          wouldn't override would be so nice.. Well i 'll try this,
