  • Extra Tex element, with Dirt or others connected

Very slow with build 1.50.00.11573 (linux 64)

    Was a lot faster before!

I'll try with latest version today.

I don't think anything has changed there. However a lot depends on your settings. If you are not careful, you can easily increase your render times without need when you use VRayDirt connected to an ExtraTex element.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Since the "filter " is implemented on the elements, the rendertimes increased..

Don't know if that has that much impact.

Also motion blur and connecting a vray tex with Dirt crashes maya.. (just found that bug a sec ago)
      Did a couple of tests.

Hm, I'm not reproducing the crash with motion blur and an extra tex element with a dirt texture attached. Can you send a scene for this ?

If it really did crash V-Ray, we still need to fix the crash, so the scene with the bad geometry would still help.
