  • Normal mapping - No Bump Mult ?

    Hi,

    When choosing any of the normal map types the "bump mult" parameter is locked, and there is no way of adjusting the amount of bump.
    Tried the plugin texture "BlendBumpNormal", but I'm unsure of how to connect this... as a bump or normal map?

    You can use a Blend node to blend between the normal map and a "neutral" normal map (RGB 128, 128, 255).

      That's a nice trick and it works fine for scaling the normal map down (0-1 strength), but is there a way of scaling the map upwards? Say I want a 1.5 multiplier ??

        Not sure if it will work, but you can try blending with a medium yellow color (RGB 128, 128, 0).
