  • Render both sides of polys correctly

    Hi all

i have some data where the normals are flipped and I cannot flip them back without ruining the data.

However, when I render the object in vray the diffuse is not rendering correctly, it renders much darker.

I know you have the " reflect on backside" button for allowing reflections on the backface normal ( which works on the data fine) and I know about the "double sided" button which is ticked and should allow me to render correctly on both sides but it isnt.

Am I going wrong or missing something. I can upload picks and maya files if needed but Im guessing this is an obvious one ?

    Thanks

    Will.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies

However what has been suggested hasnt helped and it seems very strange that it renders correctly during the lightcache but not during the final render.

I will do some more investigation and try to post some examples.

Thanks for the replies all the same

          Regards
