  • Reflection "arc"

    Hi,

This is a reflection pass from one of my renders. to me, this "arc" does not seem natural. Does anyone have any pointers to what setting could likely be causing this? (Camera clipping plane?)

I checked the normals, they appear to be fine and I also checked the ceiling and it's material and renders are fine as well (ie trace reflections ticked).

The floor material consists of a blend material.

Bump material as a base material (with simbiont shader connected to this bump)
A "grout" material for the second slot
A reflection "glass" material in the third slot, just a basic fresnel 1.517 reflected material.

Edit: It seems like all other passes are fine. Specular layer doesn't have this arc present.

I think that it's reflection cutoff value causing it.
under material options, decrease reflection cutoff to 0,001 or so. That should fix it.

edit: ...and i hope that works in Maya too.
