    UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Irradiance map thread

Keep having random slaves die with this error. Scene has many many mip mapped textures and plenty of displacement. Slaves have 8gb, win7. It isn't practical to bundle the textures to post here - any way to track this down?

An HD image will typically render in 20 mins, but then a slave throws this exception, and the dispatcher can't recover from this error, and camps out for hours. Is there some form of error recovery in the DR dispatcher?

Which operating system is this? Do you get a crash dump?

    Best regards,

Windows 7, slave in foreground, 8GB ram, scene cap at 6gb. Different machines will fail at different times, but it's usually at line 1400 or so. Rendering HD. No crash dump, just freezes.

What is the default error recovery in DR? Is there a way for it to auto continue on failure?

Ideally it should restart the server and continue from where it left off; why this is isn't happening I'm not sure. It would be best if we can in some way reproduce this here with your scene.

I'll see what I can do to get it packaged up. The project was a port from MR for maya, and it's got geometry cached animation. Will take a little time.

we usualy get errors like this when we have difficult geometry with refractive materials that have affect channels set to "all channels"...maybe this helps...

@vlado: i forgot about this bug over here, but i think i can send you some geo to debug this issue...maybe i start a different thread...
