Hello,
I have a bit of a problem with a production scene. I have tried all the usual tricks from the web. I have also tried the brute force GI method. All methods produce similar results. The problem is that I have several objects in the scene, all render fine but a house. I get bad GI flickering inside the house. The light level inside the house change drastically every frame.
Steps I've tried so far which have helped a bit:
1. I removed the windows to a separate layer. That reduced flicker a lot. I get a lot more GI ray inside the house now.
2. I have also tried baking the irradiance map. Also reduced flickering a bit but not that much.
3. I placed portal lights outside every window of the house, which also reduced flickering quite a bit, but still not enough. Can setting a higher brightness value could help there maybe?
It's still flickering so I must not be getting enough GI rays inside the house. What else can I try to reduce flicker?
There are also lights inside the house so there should be enough light (it's not dark inside the house).
Last resort will be camera mapping or rendering the house without GI seperate. Any other ideas?
Regards Johan
