  • VRayDirt : ignore self occlusion problem

    Hi,
There is a problem with the ignore self occlusion in the VrayDirt node.
This parametre is "by geometry" and not "by shader", and it is a problem.
If i have 3 objects, a floor and 2 spheres. I don't want the occlusion between the 2 spheres.
I can't because the self occlusion work on the same object. And normaly (like MR), it must work with the same material.
Normaly, all objects with same material (with ignore self occlusion on) must not have self occlusion no ?

    Thank...

The option is specifically coded to work for objects, not materials, so in that sense, it works as designed.

It is on the to do list to add an option to ignore the same shader, but this is more complicated.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

The "result affect" can be connected to a set that contains all objects that will produce occlusion for the given VRayDirt shader.

          Best regars,
