  • geometry lightMesh and deformers

    Hi all,

    I am having issues trying to use a bend deformer on a piece of geometry that is set to be a lightMesh.

    It seems the two do not play well together.

    See screenshots.

    Is this an issue you are aware of?

    Cheers,

    The object however does respect and renders totally fine with the deformer when the mesh is no longer a light mesh and just assigned a normal material both in vray and vrayRT.

      Thanks for the pointer; is it possible to get us a scene for this to vraymaya@chaosgroup.com so that we can fix it?

      Best regards,

        I fixed this with revision 13459. As workaround, you can use light material with direct illumination.

          Works fine here with yesterday's build

            @Yannik,

            I just dowloaded latest build (25th Nov revision 13457) and did a test but still get the same problems when rendering both with vray and RT like I attached before.

            @Vlado

            I have attached a simple scene here.

            @ivaylo

            Thanks for the workaround. That does render correctly for me However.....when changing settings on the LightMtl they do not update in RT

            When will revision 13459 be available to download. Do not see it listed on the nightly build list yet. Tomorrow?

            Many thanks,

            Joe
