  • Fur cutoff between DR buckets

    Hi guys,
please take a look at this quicktime:

    http://tinuz.uncinc.nl/vray/furDR_cutoff.mov

some of the fur is being cutoff at the bucketborders for DR (red arrow).
but this is occassionally and only over a background (nothing), not if the fur is in front of other objects (green arrow)

I've merged the DR pass underneath the rgb layer to show the DR buckets

I'm rendering the frames on 1 machine now without DR, will let you know if that solves it..

    no it doesn't:

    http://tinuz.uncinc.nl/vray/furBucket_cutoff.mov

this was rendered by 3 machines without DR:
    machine A frames 1-3
    machine B frames 4-6
    machine C frames 7-9

I also changed the bucket size from 64 to 40

Ok then; can you try setting 2 as the min rate and see if it helps?

        Best regards,
        Vlado

setting min subdiv to 2 did help although it's still there:

I'll try increasing until it's gone..

          thanx Vlado!

Increasing the bucket size will also help.

            Best regards,
