creating vraySettings node

Hi,

I couldn't find the answer to my question in the forum. Please excuse me if it's there but I missed it.

I'm having a problem with a script that opens a new scene, does some things and renders in VRay. The problem is that the vraySettings node doesn't exist in a scene until vray is selected as renderer ¿manually?.

I'm using the command setCurrentRenderer vray but this doesn't create a vraySettings node just jet so when I try to set the render params y get a "setAttr: No object matches name: vraySettings.fileNamePrefix" error...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can use the vrayCreateVRaySettingsNode() MEL procedure; it will check if a V-Ray settings node exists and if not, will create one.
