Hi,
This is in Maya2011, VRay for maya 1.50SP1 Nightly Build 14024, Windows 7 64 bit.
I create a VRayLightDome, a poly plane, and a poly sphere.
I attach a VRayMtl to the plane, and a VRayCarPaintMtl to the sphere.
Render in Maya's Render View, it works all right.
Now set this : Render Settings-->Indirect Illumination-->GI-->ON.
Try to render again.
The render starts and almost immediately stops without producing a picture, and this appears in the Script Editor :
Error: Exception [module=2] : Irradiance map thread
Then I assign a VRayMtl to the sphere, render, it works.
Assign back the VRayCarPaintMtl to the sphere, now it works.
Save the maya scene, quit maya.
Load the scene, it bugs again.
It seems to bug in the Render View, but works in the VRay VFB.
Then if I try again in the Render View, I got this :
// Warning: Material "VRayCarPaintMtl1@mtl" produced overbright or invalid color (rgb=-1.#QNAN0 3665682706563334100.000000 0.073360). //
I also tried using maya command line (render -proj etc...), it always crashes, saying "V-Ray error: Exception [module=2] : Irradiance map thread"
Any idea ?
I attach the maya scene here.
Thanks.
