  • BUG - Mip Mapped Exr Displacement

    Win7 x64 - Build 14240 and pre

    Mip mapped exr files read as diffuse textures just fine. Break as displacement.
    Displacement works fine if normal (not tiled) exr.

    Used exrmaketiled for conversion.

    -Alpha is luminance no change
    -RGB>Lum no change
    -Allow neg colors no change

    We are having the exact same problem when using tiled mipmapped exr for displacement (x64 build 14024) .
    I flagged the problem to Vlado few weeks ago, still waiting for a solution.

      Any idea on this? I'm a bit stuck with rendering my scenes, I tried reverting back to a previous version, sp1, but that had other problems with normal maps.

        Still working on it, but I think it should be fine for the next build tomorrow.

            I checked 14309, and the changelog

            [bug] Crash when using tiled OpenEXR files for displacement - resolved.

            I even tried a conversion using img2tiledexr instead of exrmaketiled. Still crashes on my 4k map during vray render. 2010x64.
