We've had issues where canceling out of a render takes a minute or longer and it seems to occur where there is an animated lattice in the scene. Add the lattice and the problem exists, take it out and the problem goes away. Also if I take the keys off it goes away. Anybody else run into this?

Rendering anything but baked geo will always give undesired results at times. You could create an animated proxy scene for rendering, or using FBX to apply keyframes/geo cache to referenced geometry with shaders. There are some really great workflows that will have you rendering without issues. Rigs/deformers in a lighting file are nothing but problems for any renderer.

Well to be honest, rendering a rig or deformer isn't the the best pipeline. The possibilities of error are endless in the scene translation to vrscene . I would definitely reevaluate the way your studio handles lighting scenes.
