Which version of Mac OS X do you have? There are some remaining issues there which we are looking into; waiting for an AMD card now so that we can test it here as well.

    Best regards,

      Hi Vlado,

My system is an Imac 21,5" ATI Radeon 5670, 16GB RAM, Core i5.
OSX is 10.6.6. I haven't upgraded to 10.6.7, don't know if it improves on the graphics drivers.

I used vray framebuffer in the first test. after posting i went back to mayas own, and then tried the GPU again.. this time, the terminal said it worked, but only got that far, then all frooze and i had to reboot the machine

Yep, don't we all love those hardware issues In any case, the current AMD drivers freeze on Windows as well when trying to execute our OpenCL code...

        Best regards,
        Vlado

so it's down to the OS drivers and not V-ray?
guess the wait for better drivers in osx can be a long one

          EDIT:

i'm trying to get it to work, besides the error msg thats in post 1, maya also writes this in the script editor

// Warning: No scene found; cannot create OpenCL renderer plugin. //
// Warning: [SettingsEXR] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: [SettingsTGA] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: [SettingsTIFF] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: [SettingsSGI] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: [SettingsJPEG] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: [SettingsPNG] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: Scene is empty. //
