  • Motion blur freakouts with changing vertex geo

    Hi Vrayers. We have a scene where we are using N-Cloth to simulate a tearing piece of fabric... of course the number of verts on the cloth changes as it tears.

    This seems to be causing motion blur to go nuts and create crazy streaks of blur that don't correspond to the movement of the geo.

    Is there anything that can be done to make this work?

    You must make sure that the vertices don't change within the V-Ray motion blur interval (i.e. they only change on frame boundaries and the V-Ray motion blur duration falls entirely within a frame).

      so basically this is an N-Cloth problem... really surprising that Autodesk doesn't have a way around this. Motionblur wont work in mr, vray or maya software from what I can tell.

      Anyone else ever work with tearing nCloth sims?
