  • Maya 2011 GUI glitch with V-Ray physical camera

This does not effect functionality... but, when I open a scene and have the V-Ray Physical camera attribute added to my Maya camera the Extra VRay Attributes tab displays all the rows of Attributes in the same format with a less intuitive naming convention.

If I close the tab, deselect the camera, reselect it and open the tab, everything is corrected.

Not a huge problem, just thought you may want to add it to the next round of updates.

The parameters are always included in the "Extra attributes" section in any case (whether the V-Ray extra attributes section is present or not).

There was a bug with the V-Ray Extra attributes where they may fail to appear occasionally; this is supposed to be fixed in the latest nightly builds.

Can I have access to the nightly builds?

When installing a new "nightly build" or updated version of V-Ray, do you recommend uninstalling the current version first or just install over it?

Yes, please email us to vraymaya@chaosgroup.com for the details on the nightly builds.

When you run a new installer, it will automatically run the uninstaller for the previous version, so there is no need to do this yourself.

So the problem with Vray attributes in Maya 2012 is fixed?

There is a fix that we made for a particular case when the attributes are missing; whether this covers all such cases, remains to be seen
