  • Physical sun reflection samples / ptex question

    No matter what I do, I can't seem to get rid of this physical sun reflected noise that shows up.

    Any tips at all? You can see it on the bookshelf corner.


    Also, I was wondering if the ptex mipmaps are properly loading when calculating GI. When I try testing with ptex maps it gets really really slow for GI calculations. Like it's trying to load the highest mipmap level.

    here the same with ur scene. (M2011, V2004)

    But I saw that subpixel mapping isnt active in rendertab.
    That helps perfect.
    For me its normal to activate it - but understanding the things isnt realy another story

    I saw too, that u set clamp level to 5.
    For me its normaly to set it to 1!
    5 needs more than double rendertime with minimal diff..

      Ah, Thanks! I usually never ran into an issue with a clamp of 5. Great to know this.
