  • Vray2 for Maya , textre maps not showing.....

    Hi guys,
this might be a silly question , but we upgraded to Vray2, had the Beta version before and worked fine, but now it seems that there´s a problem because the bitmaps are not rendered when using RT, meaning that he object is black when a simple texture is applied. We are using Maya 2011. Am I missing something ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Have you looked at the log of the VRay standalone server (vray.exe)?
    Are there any errors there?

Hm, odd but glad that it's working now.

          Best regards,

            I have a similar problem:
When I DR with the "Launch Render Slave" on each rendermachine, all is fine and all textures get found.
BUT when I use the vr-renderslave as a service, it renders but all imagetextures (and GI-stuff) are missing. (The renderslave-machine logs in with my useraccount automatically, so all networkdrives are mounted)

Where do I find a logfile from the renderslaveservice?

OK, I can DR-render with placing the "launch render slave" in the autostart-folder, but a service woud be more elegant.

BTW: If I render via backburner (each machine a single frame), all is fine too.

            Thanks in advance,
            Marco

Did you set up the service to run with a proper user account, instead of the default system account?

              Best regards,
              Vlado
