HI,
I have a recurring problem with rendering long animation sequences- I'm currently rendering a sequence of 2500 frames using an irradiance map (multiframe incremental) and light cache (flythough mode) map. The frames seems to stop saving (.tiff) to the local hard drive after every 300-500 frames? My "Activity Monitor" (on a Mac) says I have plenty of ram left and all 8 cpu's are at full processing power but no frames are being saved??? The frames just stop. I've tried rendering the animation sequence from both the Maya Batch renderer and also through the Render View with the same result. This is a real issue for me because I can't let my machine run overnight.......
I'm using Vray 2.0 on Mac OSx 10.6.7. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
