  • Reasons for DR not rendering a particular scene (decimal frame)

Just a quick bug report...I have found that if Maya's scene time is sitting properly on a decimal number (ie frame 10.14 etc...) the DR hosts/slaves will not contribute to rendering the scene.

However if I put the time to 10, it will.

This usually happens when in Maya prefs, under time slider, "Snapping" option is turned off.

Yes, this was reported some time ago; it is fixed for the latest nightly builds.

Out of curiosity, have you ever had to render fractional frames for any reason?

      Best regards,

Oops sorry Vlado for the double up then.

No, I've never needed to use fractional frames, but for some reason Maya had defaulted to this setting in the prefs, so while scrubbing through the timeline it inevitably landed on a decimal causing the "error". But no, I've never used it for any production.

it happens when u start a maya project with a framerate of 24F per second.
          then animating some things...
and then switching the prefs to 25F per second.
          or?
