Renders only frame 1

Hi there,

I have a problem right now where I want to render an animation but it renders only frame 1. I have Animation checked. it also plays through the frames in the camera views, but only renders for every frame the first frame.

We are using VRay for Maya 1.5 on Maya 2011 for OSX.

Can anyone help me out on this?

Could you please clarify your issue a bit more. What do you mean by:

only renders for every frame the first frame

Do you use any GI prepass modes? Can you attach screenshot of your Image File Output settings?

Hi Zdravko,

The problem is as follows:

lets say I have an animation with 25 frames, and I activate the checkbox to render that animation. When it renders, it renders not frames 1 to 25, but 25 times frame 1.

This has now happened twice. What we have noticed is that this problem occurs when we have animated opacity channel.

Specifically when we set a key on that channel and then later change that key to another frame. By doing that we no longer have a white to black animation, but now have color in our opacity channel. So then we break the connection as this is not wanted, and then re-key the opacity. When we now render it gives us the above problem.

Usually this fixes when restarting Maya, but strangely on 2 scenes it stayed that way.

Please try that with the latest nightly build from 27th of April and let us know if the problem persist.
Also, make sure that you move all opacity RGB components when changing the key to another frame in the Graph editor.
