  • 3 V-Ray 1.5 SP1 Aug 3 build problems

    Hi there,

    I've updated to the Aug 3rd build of V-Ray 1.5SP1 with Maya 2012x64.

    I still seem to have these problems even though the Changelog mentions othewise.

    - RT still seems to be exporting particle instances and crashing
    - Although harmless, whenever a selection is made on some objects, the script editor throws up this message:
    "// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2012/vray/scripts/vrayCreateCommonGlobalsTab.mel line 673: Object 'Mesh3Shape' not found."
    - The Extra V-Ray attributes in Maya's Attribute editor also never seem to generate properly (cameras with physical camera attributes mainly) and all the parameters always end up in Extra Attributes.

    I'm also experiencing a problem where I try and save an image from the V-Ray framebuffer as a png image to the desktop. But the image never actually gets saved. The native Maya Render View doesn't seem to have this problem at all.

    These are only fixed in the V-Ray 2.0 branch. Our bug tracker does not support separate changelogs for different branches, so what you see there is not quite accurate.

    The build from August 3rd includes just one bug fix for the OS X version related to rendering of proxies.
