  • Prepass and Rendering Mode issue

    Hi,
I was rendering out a simple turntable animation that in test renders, was taking about 1.40 a frame to render. Once I was happy with it, I switched to IR Animation (prepass) and rendered the vrmaps out for that. When I went to output the final images(turned light cache secondary off, switched Irradiance Map to Animation (rendering), and rendered, the frames took forever. at 60 minutes, it was still not complete. I went back and checked an older animation I did, from may, that I successfully output final images, and the same thing happened. I updated my nightly build to the Aug 3 version of 1.5, but no improvement. Am I doing something wrong here?

It should be working fine; can you get us the scene and some of the irradiance maps to vraymaya@chaosgroup.com - our support guys should be able to look into it.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

      thanks! Files have been sent.
I noticed that if I left light cache on for the rendering mode, it did work, though slowly. It's when light cache is turned off as the secondary that it drags forever
