  • Image plane and camera film trnaslate

    Hi,
I have a camera with an image plane attached. When I change the film translate in my camera, the render also changes the position of the image plane. The view port is fine. It works fine in Maya software.
To reproduce: create a sphere, create an image plane, then change the camera film translate. this should move the sphere in the viewport but not he image plane. When rendered the image plane is also shifted.

    Is there a workaround?

    Thanks,

    Yannick

    Hi,

I've logged the issue to our issues tracker, so we will look at it.
I don't know a way to workaround it though

Actually there is a sort of a work-around - attach the background to the V-Ray Background environment slot, and in the respective VRayPlaceEnvTex node, select "Screen" as the mapping type.

This is not quite the same as an image plane (it won't work properly for reflections/refractions and you'll need to use a separate spherical environment for that), but it might do the job.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
