  • Exclude light from fog

I have scene env fog setup, but need to exclude a backlight since it is visible in shot. I tried light linking, but it didn't work. How can I control the relationship of lights to fog?

I'm also working on a case where I want 'beams' of light. How can I adjust the intensity of the light in the fog without over exposing my objects. I couldn't find a multiplier for the illumination in the fog.

Hm, I think "Use shape lights" option have a problem. Must look into this. For a workaround, assign the ligths you want to the environment fog itself (it is a set), and choose "Override shape lights".

        That worked! Thanks.

Having learned how vray uses sets for displacement, lights, envfog, it might be nice to add a section to the docs 'Working with Sets'. Then add a few example cases of how it can work with fog, displacement, etc.

Then you could explain group inheritance, exclusion, whether local attrs override attrs for the set...

        I appreciate the assistance.
