Hello,
I seem to have run into a very odd bug using orthographic cameras. While using an orthographic camera to render a z-depth pass (later to be used as a displacement, thus the need for orthographic) I was getting the dreaded black buckets on DR. I assumed it was my settings/rights were wrong for the slaves after installing latest nightlies. Now here's the weird part.. it was the slaves that were rendering correctly (!).
I've tried this with a few builds and the Sept 18th stable. Z-Depth seems flaky on orthographic cameras (even non-DR) , but renders fine on slaves in DR. very odd indeed.
To get around it, I've set the camera to non-orthographic and a focal length in the hundreds, which renders just fine for the time being.
