    I'm sorry, I was stupid to send you a script that you can't execute, as you can't load the scene.

    So I sent the same maya scene as ASCII, to vraymaya@chaosgroup.com

    In that scene, do a search and replace of this string to use your own path :
    O:/BIG_O/MAYA_BIG_O//cache/alembic/troop_test_06.abc

      A month ago I sent to Autodesk the steps (see below) to see this maya crash (Case 06772124), after several tests they reproduced it, so they logged this maya bug as MAYA-6573.

      -Export a mesh to some foo.abc file.
      -Import it.
      -Save the scene.
      -Rename the foo.abc file to something else.
      -Load the scene in maya, it crashes

        This should be fixed with revision 17956 (watch the next nightly). Let me know if you still have problems with this scene.

            I have tested the newest build : vray_adv_21501_maya2012_x64_17968

            -Without particle cache : Now it works !
            -With particle cache : Now it works !
