  • When DR, limit of Pre render Mel

    Hi there.

    I set mel " putenv "VRAY_OLD_SAMPLING" "1"; " to "Pre Render MEL".
    it's working local machine.

But when DR, It doesn't work to slave machine.
if other command, example 'setAttr "VRayMtl.color" -type double3 0 0 0;', is working correctly by slave machine.

Is it impossible about Enviroment variables?

Environment variables won't work unfortunately. When you modify the V-Ray scene, V-Ray itself takes care to transfer the information to the slave machines, but V-Ray is not aware of the changes you make to environment variables.

You can probably add the environment variable to the render slaves directly, before vray.exe is started.

Also, in recent builds there should be no more need to use the VRAY_OLD_SAMPLING variable - do you see any differences with it?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Ok.Thanks.

The reason for using VRAY_OLD_SAMPLING , It is related to
      http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbu...is-not-working.

I want to use Color mapping in order to control just DMC sampling balance by using "Don't affect colors" option.
And I want to use "Subpixel mapping" option.

But DMC Sampling applied "Subpixel mapping" becomes invalid By Vray 2.0 by using "Don't affect colors" option.

      Therefore, VRAY_OLD_SAMPLING is used.
I would like to use new DMC Sampling, if it can do.

・The color mapping don't be applied to the final image.
・The subpixel mapping be applied to the final image.
・DMC sampling calculations as though "color mapping" is applied and "subpixel mapping" is applied.

Are these unrealize in Vray 2.0 DMC Sampling?
